A fantastic Soup Supper with a rich tantalizing taste using simple additions

ADDITIONS
6 cups chicken broth
1 cup cream, sour cream or milk
Optional: 1 cup fresh or 1 box frozen chopped broccoli
cooking DIRECTIONS
Bring broth to a boil in a 2 or 3-quart pot and add Broccoli Soup Mix. Lower heat and simmer covered for twenty five minutes. Turn off heat, add cream or milk, and stir to blend. Let stand uncovered for 5 minutes before serving.
inventive VARIATION
Option 1: For a rich addition, grate cheddar cheese on top of each serving, or ladle hot soup over cubed cheese placed in the bottom of each bowl.
Option 2: Try adding crab, or scallops for seafood suppers.
Option 3: Or make an elegant presentation by serving cold as a first course or summer soup.
Option 4: Make it vegetarian: substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth in the recipe.
