A rich, beefy soup with carrots and potatoes. According to one food writer, "This soup hits the pot roast flavor right on the mark!" This is comfort food!
Directions
In a kettle combine soup base with 4 1/2 cups of hot water. Blend well with whisk. Add potatoes. Blend well. Simmer 45 minutes (with lid on); stir occasionally (do not boil). (Note: the soup will continue to thicken if simmered longer.).
Special Touches
Our soups are terrific just as they are. However, id you would like to add your own special touch, consider stirring in one of the following:
well-drained, canned tomatoes
dash of ground thyme
stir in a dollop of sour cream just before serving
