A delicious take on a traditional dish! With the addition of shrimp this soup makes a tantalizing meal.

ADDITIONS
6 cups chicken broth (or part clam juice)
1 14-oz. can diced tomatoes(with garlic if available) or Rotel canned tomatoes
Optional: 1 cup cubed ham
1 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined (or crab, clams, scallops or crayfish)
cooking DIRECTIONS
Bring broth to a boil and add Soup Mix. Simmer for ten minutes. Add tomatoes including juice and ham, if desired. Bring back to a simmer and add shrimp, if desired. Cook five minutes longer and serve.
inventive VARIATION
If made ahead, this soup will thicken considerably: save your leftovers, and serve as a side dish to any grilled fish or meat main course.
