Quick and Easy Directions
1. Bring 5 cups water to a boil, add contents of package, stirring to mix well.
2. Simmer approximately 15-20 minutes or until lentils are tender. Serve with grated cheese if desired.
Variations
For an even heartier pasta and bean soup add an extra cup of water and 1/2 cup small macaroni such as tubetti or elbows the last 10 minutes of cooking time. Let soup sit 5 minutes when done, serve with grated cheese.
