A beefy broth loaded with sweet onions!
Directions
In a kettle combine soup base with 5 cups of hot water. Blend well with whisk. Add onions. Stir. Simmer ( with lid on) for 45 minutes on low (do not boil); stirring occasionally.
Special Touches
Our soups are terrific just as they are. However, if you would like to add your own special touch, consider stirring in one of the following:
stir in dashes of thyme and/or basil
add slivered green peppers
pour prepared soup into oven proof ceramic soup pots on a cookie sheet. Drop a slice of French bread into each serving. When bread surfaces, sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes, then set briefly under the broiler to top brown.

sprinkle in a few croutons, top with grated cheese of your choice, and warm in microwave.
