This soup mix won the prestigious First Place Award at the International Fancy Food Show. Mix includes chicken, wild rice, almonds, and a marvelous blend of vegetables!
Directions
In a large kettle combine soup base with 6 cups of hot water. Blend with whisk. Add wild rice/vegetable mixture; blend well. ( You'll notice the rice grains vary in appearance. This is due to a puffing process which cracks the hull of the grain, allowing it to cook up more quickly. The more cracked grains may take on a whiter/dotted appearance when cooked.) Simmer 45 minutes stirring occasionally (do not boil). For a thicker soup, simmer a bit longer.
Special Touches
Our soups are terrific just as they are. However, if you would like to add your own special touch, consider stirring in one of the following:
well-drained, canned mushrooms
dash of white wine
add 1/4 cup sherry prior to simmering
additional cooked chicken
Ingredients
modified corn starch, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, low fat milk, dehydrated chicken meat, corn syrup solids, salt, chicken fat, hydrolyzed corn gluten, sodium caseinate, sugar, dehydrated onion, disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate, dextrose, torula yeast and hydrolyzed yeast extract, soy flour, xanthan gum, dipotassium and disodium phosphate, natural flavors (contains wheat), parsley, spices, turmeric extract (added for color) and dehydrated garlic. Rice: cultivated wild rice, carrots, onion, celery, red bell peppers and almonds.
