Directions: Have on hand 12 oz. of your favorite ice cold beer. Reserve 4 oz. (1/2 cup) of your beer. Sip remaining 8 oz. as you bring 4 cups of water to a boil, reduce heat. Whisk contents of soup package into simmering water. Continue simmering until thick and bubbly. Add the 4 oz. of beer you didn't drink. Return to a boil and simmer until desired consistency. If too thick, add a little water. If too thin, cook a little longer. After cooking, for greater appeal, add 4-6 drops of hot pepper sauce (a good dash) to taste. Serve with hot pepper sauce and pretzels or popped popcorn for croutons if desired. Terrific served with a loaf of crusty French bread!
