Canadian Corn Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 square salt pork (2") -- in 1/2" cubes
- 1 large onion -- sliced
- 4 cups white potatoes -- peeled and diced
- 2 cups water
- 3 cups fresh cut from the cob corn
- 4 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
In large pot, cook pork until well browned, stirring often. Add onion. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add potatoes and water. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Add corn, milk, salt and pepper. Heat to a simmer.
