All-American Clam Chowder Recipe
Ingredients

3 slices bacon

1/2 cup onions, minced

1 can (7-1/2 ounce size) minced clams (save clam liquor)

1 cup potatoes, cubed

1 can cream of celery soup

1 1/2 cup milk

1 dash of pepper
Directions
In a saucepan
cook the bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and break
into one inch pieces. Brown the onions in the bacon fat.Add the clam liquor and the potatoes. Cover and cook over low heat
until the potatoes are done (approx 15 minutes). Blend in the bacon pieces,
minced clams, and remaining ingredients. Heat, but do
not boil, bacon may be used for garnish.
