Cream of Broccoli Soup
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 qt. (6 c.)
water

10 oz. bag frozen chopped broccoli

3/4 c. finely chopped onion

2 tsp. white pepper

2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. garlic powder

8 oz. (2 c.) shredded American cheese

1 c. milk
-
1 c. cream
-
1/4 c. butter
-
1/3 c. all purpose flour

1/2 c. cold water
Directions
In a 3 quart
saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add broccoli and onion; boil 10 minutes. Add
seasonings and shredded cheese; stir until melted. Add cream, milk and butter;
heat until boiling, stirring constantly. Slowly combine 1/2 cup cold water with
flour, stirring until smooth. Slowly add to hot mixture, stirring constantly.
Stir and cook until soup is consistency of heavy cream.
