A fantastic Soup Supper with a rich tantalizing taste using simple additions

ADDITIONS
5 cups chicken broth
1 cup cream (heavy, half & half, or milk)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz)
cooking DIRECTIONS
In a 4-quart pot bring broth to a boil. Add Soup Mix, lower heat and cover, simmer 40 minutes on low. Add cream, and continue cooking 15 minutes more. Stir in cheese, allow to stand 5 minutes and serve.
inventive VARIATION
For an elegant summertime meal this soup may be served cold. Prepare soup as above, but leave out the cheese. Chill prepared soup thoroughly. Peel, remove seeds, and dice one large cucumber. Add a spoonful to the top of each bowl and serve.
