A rich, beefy soup with carrots and potatoes. According to one food writer, "This soup hits the pot roast flavor right on the mark!" This is comfort food!
Directions
In a kettle combine soup base with 4 1/2 cups of hot water. Blend well with whisk. Add potatoes. Blend well. Simmer 45 minutes (with lid on); stir occasionally (do not boil). (Note: the soup will continue to thicken if simmered longer.).
Special Touches
- Our soups are terrific just as they are. However, id you would like to add your own “special touch”, consider stirring in one of the following:
- well-drained, canned tomatoes
- dash of ground thyme
- stir in a dollop of sour cream just before serving
